1 Day 1: Arrive Darwin
This evening, get to know your fellow travellers, Driver-Guide and Tour Director during a welcome dinner at your hotel.

2 Day 2: Darwin, Litchfield National Park, Adelaide River
Discover Litchfield National Park and visit both Wangi Falls and Florence Falls, set among a monsoon forest. After lunch visit the poignant and beautifully maintained war cemetery at Adelaide River.
Tonight enjoy dinner at your hotel.

3 Day 3: Katherine, Lorella Springs Wilderness Lodge
Today, learn about the mystery that surrounds the death of explorer Ludwig Leichhardt, who disappeared with his exploration party in 1848. In the remote town of Roper Bar, see the monument commemorating the centenary of Leichhardt’s crossing of the Roper River. Then continue to Lorella Springs Wilderness Park, a sprawling one-million-acre working cattle station.

4 Day 4: Lorella Springs Wilderness Park
Today, we will explore this coastal wilderness sanctuary, driving through a variety of landscapes and enjoying some bush walks and a scenic flight. This 4000-square-kilometre park contains coastal floodplains, salt flats and mangroves, escarpment country and dense forest.
Signature Experience – Lost City Scenic Flight
Board a scenic flight over the Lost City, a series of large sandstone outcrops that evoke the remains of an ancient civilisation. -
5 Day 5: Lorella Springs Wilderness Park
Today, you have a full day to explore the pristine wilderness. Your guide will lead you along bush tracks, as well as swim in the waterholes and relax in the thermal springs. Optional walk from Nanney’s retreat or an afternoon at leisure.

6 Day 6: Lorella Wilderness Park, Borroloola, Hell's Gate
After your morning in Lorella Springs, travel to Borroloola, where you will board your scenic flight to Hell’s Gate.

7 Day 7: Hell's Gate, Karumba
Arrive at Burketown Thermal Springs, hot springs that have been created from a bore drilled into the ground in 1897. Continue on to Burke and Wills Camp 119, which was the most northerly campsite during the Burke and Wills expedition in 1861. Afterwards, you will visit Leichhardt Falls, a plunging waterfall on the Leichhardt River. Take in the natural landscape, and you may even spot a saltwater crocodile in the nearby river.

8 Day 8: Karumba, Croydon
Journey to the historic goldrush town of Croydon, the heritage capital of the Gulf and visit the True Blue Interactive Information Centre. Take yourself on a self-guided walking tour of the Croydon town. Enjoy dinner at your hotel tonight.

9 Day 9: Cobbold Gorge
Discover Cobbold Gorge, hidden away within a spectacularly rugged sandstone formation. This morning, enjoy a boat cruise and tour through these narrow waterways as a guide points out the geological features of this incredible natural wonder. Remember to keep watch for the freshwater crocodiles.

10 Day 10: Cobbold Gorge, Undara Lava Tubes
After breakfast this morning, continue to Undara Volcanic National Park and set out on a guided discovery of the intriguing lava tubes.
Signature Experience – Undara Lava Tubes
Embark on the Archway Explorer tour through the mysterious Undara Lava Tubes. Be guided through the mesmerising lava tubes, the result of a volcanic eruption that spewed molten lava down a dry riverbed. The outer layer formed a crust, and when the lava below drained away, a series of long, hollow tubes remained. -
11 Day 11: Undara, Millstream Falls, Herberton Historic Town, Cairns
Today, travel from Ravenshoe to Herberton and onwards to Cairns. Enjoy a visit and talk at Woodleigh Station, which is located within the surrounds of the quintessential Australian bush. Journey to the beautiful tiered waterfall, Millstream Falls. Later visit Herberton Historic Village before finishing the day in Cairns with a dinner at your hotel.

12 Day 12: Depart Cairns
Your adventure draws to a close after breakfast this morning. Be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.

Climate Winter in the tropical north is the dry season and temperatures will be mild with low humidity. Through the months of September and October, the temperatures become increasingly warmer.
Fitness to Travel A good level of fitness and health is required to participate on holiday packages. In some destinations there are extensive sightseeing excursions by foot which includes the climbing of stairs and walking on uneven surfaces. Mobility is needed boarding or alighting coaches and trains.
Single Travellers A limited number of single rooms may be available at the time of booking. Single rooms may be smaller than twin or double bedded rooms and may have a single bed. Single supplements apply
Children under 12 years are not recommended to participate in a coach tour. Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Extras Airfares (unless stated), airport taxes, laundry, food not on the regular table d’hôte menu, drinks may or may not be included as indicated in your itinerary, excess baggage, Wi-Fi (unless stated), fuel surcharges and optional excursions not specified in the itinerary. Extra overnight accommodation is not included at the start or end of the tour if not specified in the itinerary. Airport Transfers Airport transfers are included on the first and last day of the tour as indicated by the itinerary or when booking pre or post-tour accommodation with your tour.
Luggage Limits Land touring is conducted in 4WD vehicles with limited luggage capacity. Each passenger is requested to limit their luggage to one small/medium soft bag or suitcase weighing no more than 16kg (35 lb approx) and with dimensions of no more than 66cm length x 35cm width x 32cm height. Cameras, make-up bags etc should be carried separately. Should you have excess luggage, it is your responsibility to organise for this to be forwarded to your final destination.
Clothing and What to Bring Clothing and footwear should be casual, comfortable and suited to tropical conditions.
- Clothing – shorts, trousers, shirts, swimwear, hat, sunglasses, a jacket and a change of warm clothes in case of inclement weather are advisable.
- Footwear – some form of fast-drying wet-shoe would prove useful.
- Personal – sun protection, insect repellant, medications, toiletries, (overseas travelers should bring a suitable adapter). Don’t forget to bring your video or camera along with plenty of film & spare batteries (recharge facilities are available).
- Money and/or credit card for personal expenses such as drinks, souvenirs and optional extras.
Smoking Government regulations forbid smoking in tourist coaches, however frequent stops are made for those wishing to smoke. Smoking is not permitted in hotel rooms. Requests for smoking/non-smoking rooms will be passed on to hotels but cannot be guaranteed.
Travel Insurance is not included in your holiday package. For your protection, you are required to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes (without limitation) coverage for the full cost of your holiday package, medical expenses, loss of luggage, land content and airfare charges that may occur due to cancellation, the impossibility of performance or other frustration, disruption, loss of deposit or strikes, and provide while travelling. Be aware that some confirmed bookings are not refundable if cancelled, and also may not be transferable to another date or otherwise changed. Alternatively, a change may only be permissible subject to payment of an additional fee or charge. Your entitlement to a refund for cancelled bookings is subject to the relevant Supplier’s terms and conditions. Please note that if we are entitled to a service fee for placing a booking, we will remain entitled to this fee if you cancel the booking or the Supplier fails to provide you with the Product for any reason (other than our default), including in an event of Force Majeure. We will be entitled to deduct our service fee from any refund we receive on your behalf before remitting the balance to you. Suppliers’ fees are outlined in their relevant terms and conditions.

- 99-61 days prior to departure will incur a fee of 50% of holiday package price.

Changes to the Itinerary Not all attractions, excursions and/or optional tours are provided by the tour operator. Accordingly, tour operators may, where it is required to do so, suspend or cancel any tour inclusion where that tour inclusion is not available or in the opinion of tour operators, unadvisable, unsafe or unsuitable. During local or national holidays, certain facilities such as museums and restaurants, sightseeing tours and shopping may be limited or not available.
